Former Green Bay Packers linebacker Blake Martinez, a draft pick of the team in 2016, is retiring from the National Football League.

Martinez, 28, announced the decision on his official Instagram page on Thursday.

The Packers drafted Martinez in the fourth round (131st overall) in the 2016 draft

He went on to lead the team in tackles during three of his four seasons (2017-2019) with the franchise, including a league-high 144 tackles in 2017.

While in Green Bay, Martinez produced 512 tackles, 10.0 sacks, 29 tackles for losses, 12 quarterback hits,
